The place and time of the Contest::
The contest is held in Riga, Ghetto Park, Grīziņkalns Sports Complex, Pērnavas street 42; 25th of August 2019;  opening of contest 2pm, finals 6pm.

Categories of the contest:
  • Contestant must be 15 – 35 years old to enter the Baltic Drum Off contest.
System of the contest:
  • Registration.
  • Registration for the contest starts August 1st and ends Augst 21th 12am. Contestants must fill the registration form stating name, surname, age, e-mail address and phone number. Contestants must also add their biography of musical experience and a video recording of performing composition of the contestant’s choice. If there are any errors while adding the video recording, please do not hesitate to contact the organizers and we will try to solve the problem as soon as possible!
  • Video recordings.
  • Video recordings will be judged by an independent judge group which will be revealed on the day of Baltic Drum off 2019. Judges will pick 12 best contestants that will qualify for quarter-finals. 12 best contestants picked by the judges will be announced 6 days before the finals and organizers will also contact them privately.
  • Video recording results.
  • Results for the quarter-finals will be announced 6 days before the actual contest day. Results will be published August 21th 9pm on social media and on the Baltic Drum off website. Organizers will contact 12 contestants and give a more detailed information about the contest day and process.
  • The process of the contest day.
  • The 12 contestants picked by the judges will compete for the win in Baltic Drum off August 25th in Ghetto Park, Pērnavas street 42, Riga. Every single one of the contestants during the quarter-finals will perform an individual song by their own choice which cannot be longer than 3 minutes. Contestants are only allowed to use audio playbacks as the musical accompaniments. After quarter-finals, judges will announce 4 best contestants that will qualify for semi-finals. Semi-finals will consist of individual performances and a drum battle. 2 pairs of drummers will compete against each other in a drum battle. Results will be summed up and 2 best contestants will qualify for the finals. Baltic Drum Off final will consist of individual performances and a drum battle between the 2 finalists. Individual performances should not exceed 6 minutes. Drum battle and individual performance will form the end result and the winner of Baltic Drum off 2019 will be announced by the judges.
Other rules:
    If contestant registers for the contest, contestant agrees that he or she will be filmed and photographed. Videos and photos can be used and published on social media and other media channels.
