How do I sign up?
To compete, sign up on the registration form on the website. Sign-up start August 1st and are closed on August 19th at 8am.
What are the age limits?
You must be 15 to 35 years old to compete.
What can I win?
Semi-finalists and finalists will receive prizes from the Drum store "Bungu Veikals", as well as a special prize - a chance to perform on the main stage of the Baltic Drum Summit 2020. All quarter-finalists will have a chance to win prizes as well.
How does the competition work?
After sign-up closes, 12 contestants will be chosen to compete in the quarter-finals. After each of their performances, 4 of the best contestants will compete in the semi-finals. They will give their solo performance but they will also be divided into 2 pairs and will compete in a drum battle against each other. Both the individual performances and results in the drum battle will affect their chance to compete in the finals. The 2 best contestants will compete in the finals with a solo performance and a drum battle against each other. The judges will review the results and choose a winner.
When and where should I go?
The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals take place at the GHETTO GAMES park on the 25th of August. The competition occurs from 6pm but attendants are welcome to arrive from as early as 2pm. There will be many activities and other exciting things to do.
How much time do I have for my performance?
You will have 3 minutes to play in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. In the finals you can perform for 5-6 minutes.
What should the performances be?
They can be as difficult or simple as you want. Play to impress the judges. You may play along to a song or any other music track of your choice.
